Thor: Latverian Prometheus TPB by Kieron Gillen

Kieron Gillen is responsible for the first few stories in this paperback, doing some good stuff. When J. Michael Strackzynski suddenly left Kieron stepped up the plate to continue the story. He fills those shoes amazingly well, making it just a bit more action packed.
Thor fights Doctor Doom in this one, and you know that has to be fantastic. Gillen's Doom is a very creepy character, tougher and more evil than ever before. The surprise ending was just great, showing us just how much of a master of manipulation the lord of Latveria is. Also, Gillen did a great job with the antique Asgardian vocabulary, managing to stick with it but also making sure it wasn't hard to read.
